The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) on June 21 added Cat Tien National Park in southern Vietnam to its Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas. This made Cat Tien become the first national park and the second conservation area in Vietnam to receive the prestigious designation.
Vietnam has made numerous efforts towards comprehensively addressing biodiversity threats since joining the Convention on Biological Diversity in 1994. Such efforts include improving legal frameworks, actively engaging in cooperation, learning from international experience, and creating conditions for the development of domestic biodiversity conservation facilities.
Outstanding emerging destinations in Vietnam
Forbes magazine has recently published a list of the 24 Best Places To Travel In 2024, which included Ha Long Bay. The list was compiled by Luxury Travel Advisor OvationNetwork.
The Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) has just announced the results of assessing and ranking the level of information technology application by state agencies in 2019. According to the rankings, Vietnam News Agency ranks third in IT application.
