Following the recent announcement of Vietnam and Australia upgrading their diplomatic relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership on March 7, Vietnam now boasts such partnership with a total of seven countries.
Vietnam and Australia elevated their relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership on the occasion of official visit to Australia by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam from March 7-9.
Since the establishment of diplomatic ties 50 years ago, Vietnam and Australia have built a strong and enduring relationship with diverse and increasing interests. In March 2018, the two countries officially upgraded ties to a Strategic Partnership, opening a new page in bilateral relations.
