The traditional friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Finland have been further enhanced over the past time since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1973.

Following the recent announcement of Vietnam and Australia upgrading their diplomatic relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership on March 7, Vietnam now boasts such partnership with a total of seven countries.

Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue leads a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly on an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on August 8-10. The visit, made at the invitation of Iranian National Assembly Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, marks a turning point in the history of bilateral ties, taking place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties (August 4, 1973 - 2023).

Vietnam and China have enjoyed sound cooperation since they established diplomatic relations on January 18, 1950.

The traditional friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Uruguay have been further strengthened since the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1993.
