After more than half a century of diplomatic ties, Vietnam and Malaysia have continually enhanced their bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including politics, diplomacy, defense, security, economics, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges. The relationship has gained momentum particularly since the two countries upgraded their ties to a Strategic Partnership in 2015.
Vietnam and China are neighboring countries with many similarities in culture, political systems, and development paths. Recently, with the joint efforts of both sides, the relationship between the two parties and the two countries has maintained a very positive momentum of development, achieving significant accomplishments in all areas.
Party General Secretary and President of Vietnam To Lam, his spouse, and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam are on a trip to attend the United Nations Summit of the Future and the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79) and hold working sessions in the US. The working visit to the US coincides with the first anniversary of the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership and their preparations for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2025.
Established in 1973 and elevated to a Strategic Partnership in 2018, the relationship between Vietnam and Australia has experienced significant and comprehensive growth across all areas. During Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to Australia from March 7-9, the two nations further upgraded their relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam and his spouse are paying a state visit to China. The visit from August 18 – 20 is made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping.
For more than 50 years, the relationship between Vietnam and India has continuously strengthened and developed. Both countries have consistently supported and assisted each other with the shared goal of seeking happiness for their people. Their diplomatic relations are now at the level of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with significant and clear progress in politics, economics, culture, energy, and people-to-people exchanges.
Vietnam and Russia share a longstanding friendship and a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Vietnam considers its relationship with Russia strategically important, designating the country as a top priority in its foreign policy. Similarly, Russia views Vietnam as a reliable partner and one of its primary priorities in the Asia-Pacific region.
