Vietnam reported about 27.26 billion USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first 10 months of the year, an on-year increase of 1.9%. The capital disbursed for foreign investment projects is estimated at approximately 19.58 billion USD, up 8.8% compared to the same period in 2023.

Party General Secretary and President of Vietnam To Lam, his spouse, and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam are on a trip to attend the United Nations Summit of the Future and the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79) and hold working sessions in the US. The working visit to the US coincides with the first anniversary of the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership and their preparations for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2025.

By September 15, 2026, the 2G network will be officially shut down nationwide, freeing up frequency resources for more advanced telecommunications technologies. This move aligns with the development goals of both network providers and the country.
