In the first eight months of this year, five export items posted turnover of more than 10 billion USD, accounting for 58.4% of Vietnam’s total.

Electronics, computers and components, mobile phones and spare parts were among the commodities with export value of over 10 bln USD in 2021.

Vietnam posted a total export value of 194.3 billion USD in the first nine months of this year. Of the export staples, five commodities registered an export value of over 10 billion USD.

Export value increases by 6.7% and import value up by 10.3% year-on-year.

In 2018, total export value increased by 13.8% while import value rose by 11.5% year-on-year. Vietnam’s trade surplus in the year reached 7.2 billion USD.

In 2018, there were 29 items with export turnover of above 1 billion USD, accounting for 91.7% of Vietnam’s total export value. Of which, 5 items posted export turnover of over 10 billion USD.
